Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper green bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Assemble the Casserole
  1. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the beef mixture over the crescent roll base, spreading it evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef mixture.
Bake the Casserole
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent roll is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
