Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 package mini marshmallows about 10 oz
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 drop red food coloring
For the Topping
  • 1 cup pink sprinkles or colored sugar

Method
 

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish evenly, using a spatula or wax paper to help smooth it out.
  6. Sprinkle the pink sprinkles evenly over the top while the mixture is still warm.
  7. Let the treats cool completely at room temperature before cutting into squares.

Notes
