Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup provolone cheese sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
For the Topping
  • 1 cup ribeye steak thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper sliced
  • 2 tablespoons steak seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

Method
 

Prepare the Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Brush the cut sides with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
Cook the Toppings
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and steak seasoning; cook for another 5-7 minutes until the steak is browned.
Assemble the Cheesy Bread
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and spoon the steak and vegetable mixture evenly onto the bread halves.
  2. Top with shredded mozzarella and slices of provolone cheese.
Bake
  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve
  1. Cut the cheesy bread into slices and serve warm.
