Ingredients
  

For the Cabbage
  • 1 medium cabbage cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
For the Miso Butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste white or yellow
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the softened butter, miso paste, honey, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Place the cabbage wedges on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  4. Generously spread the miso butter mixture over the cabbage wedges, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Roast the cabbage in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the cabbage is tender.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
