  • 1 cup chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
For the Topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 3 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta and Chicken
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cubed chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
Creating the Sauce
  1. Add the softened cream cheese, chicken broth, and ranch seasoning mix to the skillet with the cooked chicken. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  2. Combine the cooked penne pasta into the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
Final Touches
  1. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the pasta mixture, cover, and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  2. Remove from heat and top with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions before serving.
