Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 cans cinnamon roll dough with icing
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole milk or alternative
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Topping
  • 1 cup maple syrup for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the cinnamon roll dough into quarters and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the baking dish.
  5. Ensure all pieces are well-coated and let sit for 10 minutes to soak.
Bake the Casserole
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
Serve
  1. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  2. Drizzle maple syrup over the top and sprinkle with chopped pecans, if using.
  3. Cut into squares and serve warm.
