Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 pound sirloin steak sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinating
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for coating the beef
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
For the Vegetables
  • 1 bell pepper green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 bell pepper red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
For the Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Method
 

Prep the Beef
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced sirloin steak, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the Beef
  1. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef and set it aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
  1. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onions, green and red bell peppers, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine and Sauce
  1. Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and sugar. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables.
  2. Toss everything together and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes
