Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp ground pumpkin spice
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup warm milk (110°F)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk with active dry yeast and let it sit until frothy (about 5 minutes). Add sugar, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread softened butter over it. Sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon.
  4. Roll tightly from one edge, slice into rolls (about 1 inch thick), and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
