  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle minced garlic over the chicken and pour in chicken broth to cover about half.
  3. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top, adding honey, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if desired.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken inside the crockpot with two forks and serve on toasted buns.
