  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the flour until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Drop cookie dough onto prepared baking sheets with enough space between each dollop. Press about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each cookie dough ball.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft. Cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
