Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the Gruyère cheese.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  5. Bake for 45-60 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
